This piece is unique in that there was an underlayer of paint that was not dry yet when the primary colors were applied. This gave the paint a certain plasticity, while at the same time it had partially dried in some areas as well, providing some solid texture as well. The method is something that will be worked on perfecting later, but for now this is by far the most unique specimen of incredibly dynamic, yet beautifully unified movement. Acrylic painted on 1/4" plywood that has a paper-like surface texture. The painting is inlaid into a custom milled frame which gives the piece the overall shape and dimensions of a gallery wrapped canvas.
